Moran Mobile Notary provides convenient mobile notary services throughout Panama City and Bay County, Florida. I travel to homes, offices, hospitals, nursing facilities, and other agreed-upon locations, making it easier to have your documents notarized at a location convenient for you.Appointments outside Bay County may also be available in nearby areas when scheduling permits. Contact me for availability and travel pricing.

Notary Fees & Mobile Service Pricing

Florida law allows a notary fee of up to $10 for each notarial act performed. The number of notarial acts needed depends on your documents and the signatures being notarized. A separate mobile service fee applies based on the appointment location and travel required.Any price provided before your appointment is based on the information provided when scheduling. If additional notarial acts are needed at the appointment, the final cost will be adjusted accordingly.

Additional Appointment Fees

Payment & Scheduling

The mobile service fee is due when your appointment is scheduled and reserves your appointment time and travel. The remaining balance, including applicable notary fees and any additional appointment fees, is due at the time of service.Payment may be made by credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or cash.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide as much notice as possible. Requests received before travel to the appointment has begun may be eligible for a refund or transfer to a new appointment, depending on the circumstances and availability. Once travel to the appointment has begun, the mobile service fee is non-refundable.If an appointment cannot be completed because a required signer is not present, acceptable identification is not provided, required witnesses are not present, or the documents are not ready, the mobile service fee remains non-refundable.

Appointment Availability

Mobile notary appointments are available throughout the week based on availability. Regular appointment hours are generally between 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM. After-hours and weekend appointments may also be available for an additional service fee. Please contact me to check availability for the date and time you need.

Witnesses

Some documents may require one or more witnesses in addition to notarization. Clients are responsible for confirming any witness requirements for their documents and arranging for the required witnesses to be present at the appointment.If you need assistance arranging a witness, please let me know when scheduling your appointment. I may be able to assist with arranging one witness when available. Additional fees will apply, and witness availability is not guaranteed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What identification do I need for a notary appointment in Florida?

Please have an acceptable form of identification available at your appointment. Common examples include a state-issued driver license or identification card, U.S. passport, U.S. military identification, or Veteran Health Identification Card. Florida law also permits certain other forms of identification and, in limited circumstances, identification through credible witnesses. If you're unsure whether your ID is acceptable, please contact me before your appointment so we can review the identification options permitted under Florida law.

Should I sign my documents before my notary appointment?

Please wait to sign any signature that requires notarization until your appointment unless you have been specifically instructed otherwise. Some documents must be signed in the notary's presence, while others may be signed beforehand. Your documents should otherwise be complete and ready for notarization. If you're unsure whether to sign before your appointment, simply leave the signature blank and I’ll guide you at the appointment.

Can you provide witnesses for a notarization?

Clients are generally responsible for providing any witnesses required for their documents. If you need assistance arranging a witness, please let me know when scheduling your appointment. I may be able to assist with arranging one witness when available. A witness fee will apply, and witness availability is not guaranteed.

How much does a mobile notary appointment cost?

The total cost of your appointment depends on the number of notarial acts performed, your appointment location, and when your appointment is scheduled. As noted in the Price List, Moran Mobile Notary charges $10 per notarial act, as permitted by Florida law, plus a mobile service fee based on your appointment location. After-hours, weekend, and holiday appointments are subject to an additional fee. I’ll provide an estimated total when scheduling based on the information you provide, so you’ll know what to expect before your appointment.

What if I have more documents or notarial acts than expected?

That’s okay. The estimated total provided when scheduling is based on the information available at that time. If additional notarial acts are needed during your appointment, they can generally be added at $10 per notarial act. If any other services or fees become necessary, I’ll discuss them with you before proceeding.

Do you provide mobile notary services outside Bay County?

Yes. Mobile notary appointments may be available in nearby areas outside Bay County. Contact me with the appointment address, and I’ll confirm availability and provide the applicable mobile service fee based on your location.

General Terms

By scheduling or using services provided by Moran Mobile Notary, you acknowledge and agree to the policies described below. These policies are intended to help appointments run smoothly and ensure that clients understand scheduling, payment, identification, document, and service requirements.

Appointments & Scheduling

Appointments are scheduled based on availability and are not considered confirmed until the appointment details and applicable mobile service fee have been provided and the required mobile service fee has been paid.Clients are responsible for providing accurate information when scheduling, including the appointment location, number of signers, number and type of documents requiring notarization, and any known witness or special-access requirements.

Fees & Payment

Florida notary fees are charged based on the notarial acts performed, as permitted by Florida law. A separate mobile service fee applies for travel to the appointment location and is disclosed when the appointment is scheduled.The mobile service fee is due when the appointment is scheduled and reserves the appointment time and travel. The remaining balance, including applicable notary fees and any additional appointment fees, is due at the time of service.Payment may be made by credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or cash. Any applicable after-hours, weekend, holiday, extended wait, witness arrangement, special-access, or other agreed-upon service fees will be communicated as applicable.

Identification & Signer Requirements

Each signer must personally appear for the notarization and provide satisfactory evidence of identity as required by Florida law.Clients are encouraged to contact Moran Mobile Notary before the appointment if they are unsure whether their identification is acceptable. If satisfactory identification cannot be established as required by Florida law, the notarization cannot be completed.The notary may also decline to perform a notarization when the signer does not appear willing or aware of what they are signing, or when the notarization cannot otherwise be lawfully performed.

Documents & Notarial Acts

Clients are responsible for providing complete documents that are ready for notarization. Moran Mobile Notary does not select, prepare, draft, or provide legal advice regarding documents.Documents should not contain blank spaces or missing information that would prevent the notarization from being lawfully completed. If you are unsure how a document should be completed, please contact the person or organization that provided the document or a qualified legal professional.Notary fees are based on the notarial acts performed, not simply the number of documents or signatures. The appropriate notarial act must be determined by the document, the receiving party, or the signer when permitted by law. Moran Mobile Notary cannot choose a notarial act on a client's behalf when doing so would constitute legal advice.

Witnesses

Some documents require one or more witnesses in addition to notarization. Clients are responsible for determining whether their documents require witnesses and for arranging for the required witnesses to be present at the appointment.If assistance arranging a witness is needed, please request this when scheduling. Moran Mobile Notary may be able to assist with arranging one witness when available. Additional fees apply, and witness availability is not guaranteed.Witnesses must meet any requirements applicable to the document being signed. Moran Mobile Notary cannot provide legal advice regarding whether a particular person is qualified to serve as a witness for a specific document.

Waiting Time & Appointment Delays

Please be ready for your appointment at the scheduled time with all required signers, identification, documents, and witnesses present.If the appointment cannot begin within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, a $20 extended wait fee will apply. If the appointment cannot begin within 30 minutes, the appointment will need to be rescheduled.The mobile service fee is non-refundable once travel to the appointment has begun.

After-Hours, Weekend & Holiday Appointments

Regular appointment hours are generally between 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Appointments scheduled at or after 5:00 PM and appointments on Saturdays and Sundays are subject to a $30 additional service fee.Holiday appointments, when available, are subject to a $40 additional service fee.Appointment availability is not guaranteed and may vary based on scheduling, location, and travel requirements.

Special Access Appointments

Appointments at correctional facilities, secure facilities, hospitals, nursing facilities, or other locations with special access requirements may require additional time, coordination, or travel.Clients are responsible for confirming applicable facility requirements and arranging any necessary access or authorization before the appointment.Appointments requiring special access may be quoted individually based on the location, access requirements, expected appointment time, and other circumstances.

Service Limitations

Moran Mobile Notary provides notarial services in accordance with Florida law. A notary public is not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice, prepare legal documents, select documents for a client, or advise a client regarding the legal effect of a document.Notarization does not verify that the contents of a document are accurate, truthful, or legally enforceable. The notary's role is limited to performing the requested notarial act when the requirements for that notarization can be lawfully satisfied.Moran Mobile Notary reserves the right to decline or discontinue a notarization when the requirements of Florida law cannot be satisfied or when the notary has reasonable concerns about the signer's identity, willingness, awareness, or the circumstances surrounding the transaction.
